Visakhapatnam: CII Visakhapatnam organised its first edition of HR best practices competition 2024 on Saturday.
HPCL, Visakhapatnam emerged as winner while SNF India as first runner-up and Coromandel International Ltd as second runner-up. The consolation prizes were given to Patra Corp & Eisai Pharmaceuticals India.
The objective of the competition was to encourage value driven leadership while motivating HR professional to showcase their best HR practices, success stories which has clearly and substantially impacted business performance of their organisations.
Over 15 organisations participated in the competition and showcased their HR alignment with business strategy and its impact on business performance, HR practices how it supports in producing results, technological advancement of HR systems, employee engagement initiatives, best training practices and skill development methodology, HR practices how best is contributing for best culture.
The jury members at the competition were Suresh Narra, Delivery Head– Visakhapatnam, Infosys Ltd, PS Tagore, Vice President HR, Ajinomoto Bio-Pharma Services India Pvt. Ltd, Prabhath Mohan, Head–HR, Sarda Metals & Alloys Ltd.
Speaking on the occasion, G. Sambasiva Rao, past chairman, CII Visakhapatnam said the role of HR has evolved significantly in businesses.
It is no longer confined to traditional administrative tasks, HR now stands at the forefront of organizational strategy, driving initiatives that foster employee engagement, talent acquisition, and retention, he stated.
